The MENU Gen Y study will investigate ways to engage young adults, between 21 and 30, in making dietary improvements. Specifically, we will recruit young adults, from 2 geographically diverse sites affiliated with Henry Ford Health System and Geisinger, through focus groups to guide age-specific revisions to a successful online intervention that will address the challenges to lifestyle change facing this group. We will then recruit 1624 Gen Y adults to a three-arm longitudinal, online randomized intervention trial to increase fruit and vegetable intake, with the goal of supporting them as they negotiate a more independent and self-sufficient stage of life.
